Whale of a Comedy Revolution in Hermanus

Keep the good times rolling with a night of fun and laughter at The Original Deli and Wine Lab in Hermanus on Sunday, 20 December.

Hosted by veteran award winning comedian, Barry Hilton, this Comedy evening promises to have you laughing out loud with sets from popular Cape Town based comedians Dalin Oliver, Carl Weber and Westley Cockrell.

These immensely talented comedians have worked with South Africa’s biggest comedy names and regularly perform to rave reviews and sold out audiences in the country’s most established comedy clubs. Dalin and Carl have featured on Comedy Central.

Dalin Oliver, also a Good Hope FM radio presenter, enjoyed a sold-out run with his debut solo show at the Baxter Theatre in Cape Town earlier this year. And in October, he wowed audiences at the inaugural Whale of a Comedy Revolution at The Deli in Hermanus. Dalin’s just finished filming his first feature film, a SA comedy called Finders Keepers which will release across cinemas nationwide in June next year.

A previous winner of Phat Joe Cape Town’s Next Comic and the Graca Comedy Showdown, Bloemfontein ‘farm boy’ Carl is an audience favourite at the country’s most popular festivals, including Rocking the Daisies, Nandos Comedy Festival, National Arts Fest in Grahamstown and the Jive Cape Town Funny Festival.

Westley Cockrell makes light of the things he went through growing up in the small western Cape town of George. He won Joke Slam 2015 and Muizenberg Comedy Challenge 2014 respectively.  He forms one half of a dynamic duo in a two man stand-up comedy show called “The Plot Hole” which racked up rave reviews in at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown as well as in Cape Town.

This hilarious lineup headed up by everyone’s favourite cousin and Hermanus local, Barry Hilton, is bound to have you convulsing with laughter. Be sure to arrive early to order dinner. No meals will be served during the show, which starts at 20:00.

Tickets for the show are available at The Original Deli and Wine Lab, call 028 3132137.
