IT’S NO JOKE: THE BEST OF SOUTH AFRICA’S COMEDIANS COME TOGETHER TO SUPPORT MR MANDELA’S 46664 CAMPAIGN
South Africa’s top comedians are being brought together by 46664 and Real Concerts for It’s No Joke - a night of the best of comedy in the country. For one night only on 27th February 2010, It’s No Joke will help raise funds for the ongoing work of the Nelson Mandela charitable organizations.
SA's favourite comedian, Barry Hilton, features on the line-up, together with David Kau, Trevor Noah, Marc Lottering, Riaad Moosa, John Vlismas, Chris Forrest, Ndumiso Lindi, Nik Rabinowitz and Tumi Morake.
February 11th 2010 marks the 20th anniversary of Nelson Mandela walking free from his 27 years incarceration. This historic world event was the foundation that brought freedom to a country that was once segregated and full of turmoil. It is because of this hugely significant moment that South Africa is now able to welcome many global, cultural and entertaining events.
Tim Massey, International Director of 46664 says “By using the universal language of sport, music and entertainment we can deliver messages of care, prevention and hope to the youth and young adults of the world. We are delighted with the reaction to the announcement of Eddie Izzard’s gigs and we are now equally thrilled to have all these top acts, performing together on one line up. We hope this will be the beginning of many more 46664 comedy events to come both in South Africa and internationally.”
