PORT ELIZABETH SHOW
Friday, 13 March sees Barry Hilton take to the stage in Port Elizabeth at the Boardwalk Amphitheatre. It’ll be his first show back in the friendly city since he moved to Hermanus in 2013.
His show, The Way I See It, gives audiences a peek inside the goings on in his quirky head. Hilton has a delightful knack of finding the ludicrous and humorous in daily situations, turning what seems perfectly normal on its head to make us laugh at life.
While in PE, Barry will co-host the BayFM breakfast show on Thursday, 12 March and is also scheduled for an interview on AlgoaFM and Kingfisher.

South African Comedy Stalwart Barry Hilton is the first comedian to feature in The Live Series on BoxOffice. The Live Series is a 75-minute exclusive comedy special produced by award-winning production company, Mannequin Pictures. Each show, features one of the country’s best comedians performing in front of a live audience.
In this hilarious stand-up special, comedy household name, Barry Hilton brings you an hour and a half of world-class humour. Touching on everything from load-shedding all the way through to selfies, SA’s favourite “cousin” will have you in stitches before you can say Savannah.
Review by Nicolas Callegari :
Barry Hilton – the cousin. This is one funny guy. He’s been one of my favourite comedians for as long as I can remember so I naturally jumped at the opportunity to give his new live comedy show a whirl on your behalf to see if it’s worth your hard-earned R27.
Well, the man delivers in truckloads. He combines some of his classic gags with some sharp new material, covering everything from load shedding to taxi drivers, V8 cars and urinating in the garden.
It’s not often I’m brought to absolute tears in fits of laughter but I found myself having to pause on a number of occasions just to gain composure and give the people around me time to stop laughing at me.
Goodness knows we all need a good laugh and I can’t think of anyone in SA better equipped to get your mind off any problems you may have.
If you love good South African comedy, Barry knows how to deliver.
In addition to his BoxOffice debut, earlier this month, Barry featured on ETV’s Sunrise breakfast show. Keep an eye out for the new Romans Pizza and Lasher television adverts next month. Towards the end of March, Barry is headed to magical Mozambique to film the pilot of a new fishing show.
