Funnyman Barry Hilton, “The Cousin” will reel audiences in, hook, line and sinker with his Fresh Catch show at Emperors Palace, Johannesburg on 1 and 2 April this year.
Fans are in for a real treat as he chums out his hilarious impressions and observations on a host of social, political and family issues. Barry’s new found passion of fishing and enjoying the great outdoors inspired the show’s name and allows for his quick-witted ‘Throw Me ALine’ segment.
Barry’s well timed humour appeals to all ages and walks of life. Being a prolific writer, he pens all his own material, including music, and his performances evolve constantly – much to the delight of his audiences.
The Cousin enjoys international status as a stand-up comedian and is undoubtedly one of South Africa's top comedians. A skilful, generous and engaging entertainer, he performs at the highest level, pulling out all the stops for sold-out audiences in SA and abroad. With his irrepressible sense of humour, he brings the house down whenever he stands on stage; he is the only SA comedian who regularly sells out 4000-seater venues with his one-man show (recently Cape Town's 5000-seater Grand Arena). With this phenomenal success it's no surprise that he's been in the business for 27 years.
Barry is also renowned for starring in commercials, television shows, two movies and producing DVDs and CDs.
So if you feel like you need to laugh or even cry with laughter, find your way to Emperors Palace on 1 and 2 April 2010.
