Award winning South African comedian, Barry Hilton will be performing in Durban at the Gateway Barnyard on Sunday 20 November. His show, Evolver, will have you rolling in the aisles with laughter.
“I’m so looking forward to my show in Durban later this month,” says Barry. “Barnyard theatres always have such a great energy and the audiences really know how to laugh and have a good time.”
Hilton has been performing across the country, and the world, for more than three decades and there seems to be no slowing down for the extremely popular veteran comedian. He started this year with a solo stellar performance in the main concert hall of the iconic Sydney Opera House, undoubtedly a career highlight. There have been many other highlights, some include sharing a stage with Billy Connelly, kick starting the Hong Kong International Comedy Festival, being invited to perform at the world famous Harrah’s in Las Vegas, headlining the Kuala Lumpur International Comedy Festival, hosting TV shows, producing DVDs and receiving the Comics Choice Lifetime Achiever Award.
“There has been a gigantic surge in comedy in South Africa and we’re producing phenomenal talent who are enjoying great success locally and abroad. I’m so thrilled to still be a part of it after more than thirty years,” says Barry.
